Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 September 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Vihamo Info Tech (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use Flick Player and related services (the “Services”).
1. Information We Process
- Device & Usage Data: Basic device information (device model, OS version), app version, crash diagnostics, and limited usage events (e.g., feature interactions) to maintain and improve performance.
- Log Data: When errors occur, we may collect log information (timestamps, error codes, in-app actions leading to the error).
- Support Communications: If you contact us, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to provide.
- User Content (Local Media): The Services may index or read metadata necessary to display or play media files stored on your device. User Content remains on your device unless you choose to back it up or share it yourself. We do not upload your local media to our servers unless you explicitly initiate such a transfer for a feature that requires it.
2. Permissions
To function properly, Flick Player may request certain device permissions, such as:
- Storage/Media Library: Access to read media files so you can browse and play them within the app.
- Network: Internet access for features like streaming from URLs or accessing network/cloud locations, if you choose to use them.
You can manage permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work without the relevant permission.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide and operate the Services (e.g., play your media, manage playlists, enable network/cloud access you initiate).
- Maintain safety, security, and integrity; detect, prevent, and address errors, fraud, or abuse.
- Improve performance, features, and user experience (analytics and diagnostics).
- Communicate with you about updates, changes, and support.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. Legal Bases (EEA/UK users)
- Performance of a contract: To provide core functionality you request.
- Legitimate interests: To secure and improve the Services.
- Consent: Where required (e.g., certain analytics or marketing). You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: To comply with applicable laws.
5. Sharing & Disclosure
- Service Providers: We may share limited data with vendors who help us host, analyze, or support the Services, under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if we believe it's necessary to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business Transfers: In a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred, subject to this Policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Diagnostic logs are typically retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized.
7. International Transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) to protect your information.
8. Your Rights
- Access, Correction, Deletion: You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you.
- Objection/Restriction: You may object to or request restriction of certain processing.
- Portability: You may request a copy of your data in a portable format, where applicable.
- Consent Withdrawal: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise rights, contact us at vihamoinfotech@gmail.com. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
9. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us to request deletion.
10. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Third-Party Links & Services
Third-party websites, services, or plugins accessed via the Services are governed by their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for their policies.
12. Do Not Track & Signals
Because there is no consistent industry standard, the Services may not respond to “Do Not Track” signals. You can manage privacy preferences within the app (if available) or your device settings.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date indicates the latest change. Material changes will be communicated within the app or by other reasonable means. Your continued use after updates means you accept the revised Policy.
